A look back: Alpine Process Technology Summit Spices 2023

- Great response at Hosokawa Alpine's two-day specialist event in Augsburg

Whether tea or chilli, coriander or cumin: various ingredients are supplied in different consistencies and qualities for the production of end products in the food industry. In order for these to be of high quality, it is necessary to react optimally to the individual requirements and to design the production process effectively. At the end of May, Hosokawa Alpine's customers gained exciting insights from industry experts at a two-day event on this complex of topics.

The Spice Summit attracted a total of around 30 participants. "We were very pleased with the good response and the lively discussions," says Alexander Langer, Senior Sales Manager in the Food Division at Hosokawa Alpine.

At the "Alpine Process Technology Summit Spices", the Augsburg-based machine and plant manufacturer provides its customers with sound know-how for spice processing - from cleaning, cutting, grinding and mixing to packaging and product handling. "Expert lectures and a practical part in the technical centre with participation in a laboratory exercise go hand in hand," Langer explains the concept. In this way, the participants gain the necessary knowledge to design spice processes efficiently and to develop a high-quality product. Speakers included representatives from Hosokawa Alpine and Hosokawa Solids as well as Christian Petereit from Behn + Bates on the subject of bagging techniques for spices.

"With our summit, we enable the participants to expand their network and think outside the box," says Langer. A tour of the Hosokawa Alpine location in Augsburg and a dinner together rounded off the event.

In its anniversary year, the machine and plant manufacturer Hosokawa Alpine has come up with something special for its customers: customer events are held throughout the year on a wide variety of industry topics. For example, the international Battery Summit was held in Augsburg from 13 to 14 June.
