Hammer Mills

Hammer mills are suitable for grinding soft to medium-hard products. The grinding process is carried out by rotating hammers which strike the material to be ground and break it down through impact forces. In addition, the material is propelled against the mill wall, where further fragmentation takes place. Hammer mills are used in numerous industries, for example in the processing of minerals, chemicals, food ingredients and recycled materials. Depending on the application, they can be used for both pre-crushing and fine grinding. Hammer mills can achieve particle sizes between 100 and 1000 µm.
