Air Jet Sieve upgrade

Alpine Air Jet Sieve e200LS can now be upgraded

- New product structure creates more flexibility

Hosokawa Alpine has optimised its range of e200 LS air jet sieves, worldwide the standard analysis unit for particle analysis. This has involved integration of the e200 LS Lite onto the same hardware platform as the current units with the well-known eControl software. Up to now, the Lite models have still differed by virtue of a stand-alone hardware and user interface.

"From April 2020 onwards, every device delivered will be based on our new hardware architecture with eControl software launched in 2019. For our customers, the integration means a plus on comfort as well as increased flexibility", emphasises Markus Schönwetter, Product Manager LAB at Hosokawa Alpine.

Simple upgrade

The new software range makes it possible

Thanks to the standard platform, all Alpine e200 LS devices can be adapted in future without problem, dependent on individual requirements, by means of software upgrades. From April 2020, the software range will be updated. The eControl Professional with the software version 1.3.11 expires on 30th April 2020 and will then be integrated into the eControl Ultimate. Machines with the Professional software will still function in the usual way, it is only the update support which will be discontinued. "With a view to the future, customers who want to make use of the latest updates and the newest features are advised to order an upgrade to the premium product of the Ultimate version", says Schönwetter. After the roll-out in April, users have until 31 December 2020 to upgrade their device to the Ultimate version at particularly attractive conditions. More performance and increased comfort

The premium product eControl Ultimate is convincing in its function

Based on the motto "Print, save, control", the Alpine Air Jet Sieve e200 LS in combination with the eControl Ultimate software has a high degree of automation and increased user comfort. To improve the clarity and comparability of the results, the analysis report is generated automatically in both tabular and graphic form. Reliable management and archiving of the sieving analyses is made possible in the Ultimate version both via the large internal memory as well as via a server connection. Regulation of the underpressure, monitoring of the correct sequence of test sieves and storage of the weight transferred from the laboratory scales to memory guarantees reliability and control – of all the important parameters relating to the reproducibility and comparability of the analysis result.

Change-over to user interface HMI 2.0

Air jet sieve models with an HMI 1.0 operating panel built between 2010 and 2015 (model series #398000) will expire on 31 December 2020. Software updates and upgrades are then only possible with the new HMI 2.0 user interface. "We guarantee our customers a simple and hassle-free change-over from the old HMI 1.0 panel to the new-generation panel", says Schönwetter.
