Powtech 2023

- Focus on future-oriented topics lithium-ion batteries, lignin and alternative proteins

The Hosokawa Micron Group and its subsidiaries will present their range of products and services at POWTECH 2023 in Nuremberg from September 26-28 in Hall 4 A, Booth 4 A-239.
One focus of the presentation will be on solutions for the production and recycling of lithium-ion batteries. For this purpose, the group of companies has established a cross-divisional, international project team and the brand "Hosokawa ON". A dedicated logo, a website and a new product line for systems for the production of energy performance materials will round off the appearance of the new brand in time for POWTECH. Hosokawa ON's portfolio will also include the new process developed by Hosokawa to recycle material scrap in the production of lithium-ion batteries directly at the battery manufacturer.

In addition, Hosokawa Alpine will present solutions for other future-proof applications - including the industrial use of the natural raw material lignin and the development of alternative protein sources. Another innovative trade fair highlight from the Augsburg-based company is the newly developed Microburst AMB jet mill, which allows coarser and fibrous products to be fed without pre-crushing.

Active participation in the trade fair supporting program

In addition to presenting new solutions at its booth, Hosokawa Alpine will also actively participate in the trade show's supporting programme. Jürgen Zeller, Senior Sales Manager, Food Division will give a presentation on "New opportunities in protein dry fractionation processes for pulses" at the Expert Forum (Hall 4, Booth 4-100) on Sept. 26, 2023 at 10:30 a.m., followed directly by a panel discussion on "Innovative bulk solids processes for the production of plant-based foods" (Hall 4, Booth 513) at 11:00 a.m. Thomas Reichenzeller, Operations Director HR Department at Hosokawa Alpine, will speak in the panel discussion on "How companies from the industry can respond to the shortage of skilled workers and attract (and retain) skilled workers" at 2 p.m. on September 28, 2023, at Expert Forum I in Hall 4, Booth 4-100.
