POWTECH is the leading trade fair for mechanical processing, analysis and handling of powder and bulk solids and will take place from 27 to 29 September in Nuremberg/Germany. Hosokawa Alpine will present innovative solutions for the chemical, food, minerals & metals and pharmaceutical industries. The focus is on the technologies of grinding and compacting.
Whether in e-bikes, smartphones or laptops, lithium-ion batteries have become an indispensable part of everyday life. To meet the increasing demands of manufacturers and consumers, Hosokawa Alpine offers various technologies for the production of cathode and anode material. 3D printing has also long since arrived in everyday life. The basis for this is metal powder, the quality of which depends decisively on the classifying process. This is where the air classifiers from Hosokawa Alpine come into play: our solutions are precisely adapted to the respective task.
Our Food Division also always keeps an eye on current trends and developments: In order to make optimal use of the protein content of wheat, soy, peas, lentils or other pulses, the process ofprotein shifting (or dry fractionation) was developed. Ultra-fine grinding and subsequent classifying produces fractions whose protein content is considerably higher than in the starting material. Hosokawa Alpine offers two different methods for this process.
Spices also place very special demands on processing: they have to be ground as gently as possible so that the flavour and aroma are retained in the best possible way. Due to the very different starting materials, individual solutions are required for spice grinding. Hosokawa Alpine offers these for both ambient and cryogenic grinding.
By preparing cell cultures, science gains indispensable knowledge in the search for vaccines, therapies and cures. Hosokawa Alpine has specialised in an integrated process that meets the demanding conditions and high pharmaceutical standards for the production of cell culture media.
In order to achieve ultra-fine target particle sizes, a large amount of energy is usually required. Hosokawa Alpine kept this aspect in mind when developing the PULVIS and the new PULVIS PRO and, with the combination of a vertical agitated media mill and a high-performance classifier, presents an energy-efficient combination for maximum fineness.
