Hosokawa Alpine already sponsors numerous projects and associations in the fields of sport, education, sustainability and culture in the Augsburg region. Now the company has also decided to financially support the Augsburger Kajak-Verein e.V. for the next three years.
The Augsburger Kajak-Verein e.V., founded in 1924, is an internationally successful club with around 350 members in top-class sports, in the areas of canoe slalom, canoe extreme and rafting. The most important pillar is the youth. In addition to canoe slalom, the offers in the areas of white water rafting, rafting, dragon boat and SUP in the club are regularly used by the members.
As part of the sponsorship, the two athletes Christian Stanzel and Carolin Diemer from the performance squad canoe slalom U17-U23 of the kayak club support the Hosokawa Alpine company in building up its image. In addition, the company logo will be seen in the vicinity of competitions of the Augsburg Kayak Club. "We are very happy about this cooperation," said Dr. Antonio Fernández, CEO of Hosokawa Alpine AG. "Kayak sport has a long tradition in Augsburg, as does Hosokawa Alpine. That's why we like to support dedicated sporting talent." Fernández got a first impression of the performances of the young athletes at the international ECA Junior Slalom Cup from 30.6 to 2.7.2023 at the Augsburg Eiskanal.
