Limestone processing around the world:
Dietmar Alber and AT Mineral Processing visit international GCC customers
For almost 40 years, Dietmar Alber worked for Hosokawa Alpine all over the world. His assignments took him from Asia to the Middle East and on to North and South America. During this time, he oversaw international projects, developed bespoke technical solutions in collaboration with customers, and opened up new markets across the globe.
In 2025, this impressive career came to an official end: after four decades with the company, Alber, who had most recently served as Business Development Director at Hosokawa Alpine AG, retired. However, before he retires completely from active professional life, he is setting off on one final journey – a personal farewell tour. This takes him to partner companies with which he shares not only long-standing business relationships and joint successes in process engineering, but also close personal ties. The trade journal AT MINERAL PROCESSING accompanied him on these special journeys and, at the same time, offers a retrospective look at the career of a man who has played a decisive role in shaping the international mineral processing industry over the decades.
A visit to Jordan Minerals Est. in Jordan
The first stop on Dietmar Albers’ farewell tour, accompanied by AT Mineral Processing editor Lukas Höpfner, was Amman, where they visited Jordan Minerals. The company has been using Hosokawa Alpine technologies since 1990.
Managing Director Naim Burghli can look back on a long-standing collaboration with the company and with Dietmar Alber personally. In addition to their shared history, the discussion focused in particular on the further development of GCC production, the clearly noticeable changes in the market environment in recent years, and the importance of sustainable partnerships in an increasingly demanding competitive environment.
