Machines for smaller throughputs up to the laboratory range, made entirely of stainless steel. The L and K kompaktor series are mainly used to process powders in the chemical and food industries, but they are also used in the pharmaceutical industry. The APC C Pharmapaktor was specially developed for the pharmaceutical industry.

APC L Kompaktor
Getting powder into top shape
The APC L kompaktor is a robust, high-performance powerhouse that packs a punch: It works with a high pressing force, is mobile and saves space. The classic compacting system achieves optimum results when pressing powders. This is ensured by the proven technical sophistication of the machine concept. With its swing concept, the APC L kompaktor can also be cleaned quickly thanks to the special roller bearing: The rollers can be changed in less than five minutes.
Depending on the requirements, there are two different roller press agglomeration processes to choose from: dry granulation and briquetting. The kompaktor is equipped with a pressing force control as standard. As a rule, the throughput of the standard size L200/50 is 100 kg/h, but in special cases it can also be up to 200 kg/h.

ARC K Kompaktor
Powerful and efficient
The ARC K series complements the L series. In contrast to the L-series, the K-series is based on a press frame without swing arms with roller arrangements mounted on both sides. This means that tool changes and cleaning take a little longer, but also that larger machines can be achieved. In addition, the roller gap (at standstill) can be adjusted and roller cooling is possible. The kompaktor is also equipped with a pressing force control as standard.
The throughput of the large version of the K series is up to 1000 kg/h and more.

Pharmapaktor APC C
In a class of its own: the innovative compacting technology for the pharmaceutical industry
In view of the very high and demanding requirements of the pharmaceutical industry in terms of machinery and process equipment, Hosokawa Alpine's Pharmapaktor APC C roller press is a suitable solution for processing pharmaceutical powders in the compaction-granulation process with a single machine.
The pharmaceutical actuator has gap and screw control. The gap adjustment is electromechanical, guaranteeing consistent flaking properties and low maintenance. The ergonomic machine design and the special hygienic design allow for efficient cleaning, also as a wash-in-place (WIP) version.
The Pharmapaktor C is dust-tight (up to OEB 3) and can be designed with an appropriate isolator/containment system up to an Occupational Exposure Band 5 (OEB 5).
The Pharmapaktor C is available in a variety of working widths. Depending on the product properties, batches as small as 50 g can be processed with the small machine design in the R&D area. With the largest working width, throughputs of up to 150 kg/h can be achieved.
