Whether onion or caraway, marjoram or tea: every spice has its own specific properties and processing requirements. These should be taken into account during production to ensure a high-quality food product. To provide a deeper understanding of the interrelationships, Hosokawa Alpine AG is hosting the Alpine Process Technology Summit | Spices 2.0 for the third time on May 13 and 14, 2025, at its headquarters in Augsburg.
The whole spectrum of spice processing
Quality, efficiency, and process reliability are just a few of the topics that experts from Hosokawa Alpine, Behn + Bates, Hosokawa Micron B.V., Bühler, Rembe, Fagus-GreCon, and Hosokawa Solids will discuss with participants. The technical presentations will focus on the cleaning of spices, cutting, grinding, and mixing, as well as explosion and fire protection, powder handling, packaging, and after-sales service for existing plants. These will be accompanied by a practical session at the Hosokawa Alpine test center. “In live trials, we show our participants how the right choice of technologies leads to high-quality, competitive end products,” explains Alexander Langer, Head of Sales Food at Hosokawa Alpine. The event offers opportunities for professional exchange and networking during the day and at a joint dinner on Tuesday evening in a cozy atmosphere with Bavarian food.

At our Alpine Process Technology Summit | Spices, you will receive comprehensive expertise on spice processing, from cleaning the raw material to packaging the end product. In addition to numerous expert presentations, the programme also includes a guided tour of the Hosokawa Alpine factory premises. During a practical session in our technical centre, you will be able to deepen your theoretical knowledge from the presentations.
