New management generation

HOSOKAWA ALPINE Aktiengesellschaft has appointed Dr Antonio Fernández and Dr Holger Niemeier as new members of the executive board, effective 1 October, 2014.

This announcement marks the onset of the company’s strategic transition to a new management generation.

On 30 September, 2014, Georg Ringmayr will retire after many successful years as head of finances and resign from his position as a member of the executive board.Peter Krieg also has plans not to renew his contract and to retire in 2016 after more than ten years as chairman of the executive board and more than forty years at Hosokawa Alpine.

Already with HOSOKAWA ALPINE for many years, the newly appointed members of the executive board will contribute to its work and systematically familiarize themselves with the scope of their new duties.

Mr Fernández holds a PhD in machine engineering and has already worked in different positions in the company. He was responsible for HOSOKAWA ALPINE’s sales office in Shanghai and technical manager of the company’s powder division. In his new position as member of the executive board, Fernandez will be responsible for Engineering.

Mr Niemeier, who also holds a PhD in machine engineering, has international experience and was formerly responsible for the company’s blown film activities, from sales right through to engineering and assembly. In his new position, he will be responsible for Blown Film Technology.
