HOSOKAWA ALPINE, a leading provider in the fields of process technology and film extrusion, has expanded its business portfolio with immediate effect and now also offers consulting services for its process technology business segment. This serves to supplement the portfolio with individual customer consulting services for process and system development. The benefit for the customer is obvious: as a result of the holistic approach, the customer receives a competent decision-making tool that bases on the specialist knowledge of the entire Hosokawa Group.

Joint elaboration of the optimum decision-making basis
With a specially created Process Consulting Team, the company supports every customer in the implementation of new process and system developments. HOSOKAWA ALPINE's promise: independent, well-founded and comprehensive consulting in the field of bulk materials processing. In order to create an optimum decision-making basis, the actual situation is analysed and the ultimate goals clearly defined together with the customer. Based on this analysis, the HOSOKAWA ALPINE specialists develop specific and individual solutions in close cooperation with the project partner. These solutions also include equipment that is not manufactured by HOSOKAWA ALPINE. In the end, the best and most economically efficient process variant is used as the decision-making basis.

Individual consulting
The consulting service maps out the complete process chain – from the raw material to the end product. Every production step used in the (dry) processing of powders and particles is examined closely. These include: raw material delivery, transport, storage, drying, dosing, weighing, mixing, comminution, agglomeration, compaction, sieving/screening, separation and packaging of the bulk materials. To ensure a practice-oriented concept preparation, the laboratories and application testing centres of the HOSOKAWA Group are made use of wherever appropriate. The customer also receives support when carrying out external tests of process-critical process steps. To augment the decision-making basis, customers also receive among other things a process flowchart, an initial 3D representation of the planned solution as well as a cost estimate.
